What's Ahead in 2010 For Players Baseball officially starts in late February. However, in the off season, the weight room is open; and players are encouraged to stay fit and work out. At Lakeridge High School players are encouraged to participate in other sports as well such as football, soccer, cross country, wrestling and others. Participation in other sports allows coaches to learn more about a player's potential abilities and helps Lakeridge compete athletically at the highest level. The benefit to the player is a stronger body, more experience in competition, and a more well rounded set of skills to bring to the baseball field. The newly upgraded hitting barn is also available. If you are not sure where to start, just talk with Coach Griffin or one of the Varsity players. One Note: The Varsity Team will play games during Spring Break as usual. If you plan on trying out for the Varsity, be sure to note this on your calendar and share with your family.

What's Ahead in 2010 For Parents Welcome to the Baseball Family. At Lakeridge High School we are privileged to have one of the best grass fields in the State. Also our facilities have been upgraded with the remodeled hitting barn and soon to be our new JV field. Great facilities for our program are possible only through the support and effort from our baseball family. We make every effort to involve all parents...asking for time, talents, and contributions to create and sustain the best program for all our High School Players. The JBO families can be excited for their boys to be a Pacer Baseball Player one day as well. We kick off the year with the two major fundraising events: Sunday, January 24th All baseball families, past, present & future are invited to the 16th Annual Pacer Auction at Oswego Lake Country Club In addition we also have our Community-based Fundraiser Our Famous Crab Dinner Saturday, February 6th (just in time for your Super Bowl Party) Players will be selling Dinners in January "Early Bird" Dinners can be ordered on Nov 22nd (in time for special Christmas giving) The Spring Season Starts in late February with games underway in early March. Please use www.lhs@loswego.k12.or.us to get all the school year information for baseball. In addition, we continue to improve our baseball website: www.pacerbaseball.net and hope to make this the One Stop for Information throughout the year. More information will be available at the meeting and in future news letters |
| Pacer Baseball, Inc. is a non-profit (501c3) corporation that exists solely for the purpose of supporting Lakeridge High School Baseball's summer program. Through the years, this mission has been extended and clarified to provide year round support of coaching, field and facility upkeep as well as providing for equipment. Most importantly, in order to build strong Spring and Summer programs having a quality coaching staff was identified as a priority. Pacer Baseball, Inc., provides funding for additional coaches in the Spring season to insure your player will continue to grow and develop in their baseball skills and as a team player. This results in stronger team performance for both Spring and Summer ball. There is a limited athletic budget allocated from the school district for baseball, so your involvement is crucial to our continued success. Please Forward this email to Baseball families. We want to reach everyone in the Lakeridge community who is interested in the success of Pacer Baseball...JBO...Past Pacer Baseball Folks...Baseball Fans! Sincerely, Sandi Swinford, Secretary Pacer Baseball, Inc. sandi@associatedmortgage.com 503-781-0092 |

| | What to bring on Nov 22nd | We do recommend you bring a calendar to the meeting. We plan to have a few tables set up with information you can take with you. You can purchase Crab Dinner Tickets (a great Christmas Gift). You can also sign up to attend the auction (tickets are $25 per person - parents and players and siblings are invited - we have a great speaker lined up) You can Sign up to Volunteer - perhaps you have a terrific talent such as Webmaster abilities. We'll have a great Power Point Presentation if you have some great photos of players, send them to sandi - I'll pop them into the pre-program slide show! |
